12.07.18 – Kurt and our law firm faced off in court against the giant Tribune Media Company and their wholly owned subsidiary, Los Angeles television station KTLA. After years of litigation, yesterday a Los Angeles County jury found that KTLA owed Kurt $3,949,385 (which includes interest) because KTLA refused to honor its contract with him. This jury’s verdict in favor of Mr. Knutsson is a complete vindication of his claim. It is very important that the public understand that it is possible, even in a David and Goliath situation, that an individual may prevail if they have truth on their side and the determination to fight for justice.
11.28.18 – In recent months I was contacted by many men who alleged that they were victims of sexual misconduct and sexual abuse by Dr. Richard Strauss when they were wrestlers at Ohio State University. Unfortunately, for all of those who contacted me, it appears to be too late to pursue justice in the civil or criminal justice system, because not only is Dr. Strauss deceased, but also because an arbitrary time period set by law called the statute of limitations (SOL) will likely prevent them from seeking justice in the civil and criminal justice systems. Senate Bill 339 would eliminate the statute of limitations for criminal and civil prosecution related to cases of rape. Ohio’s current criminal statute of limitations is 25 years. The current civil statute of limitations for cases involving bodily injury is two years. We urge legislators, Republicans and Democrats, to support this bill to help victims and we look forward to testifying at a hearing to answer their questions.
11.09.18 – There were approximately 400 high level insurance executive in attendance who focus on all lines of liability. Gloria spoke to them about Executive Professional Liability in light #MeToo and other # movements, current civil rights, the legal ramification of high profile cases and the growing impact of social media.
11.05.18 – The defense motion is replete with unjustified speculation about my client, who is the third alleged victim in the criminal case against Harvey Weinstein now pending in New York. In my opinion, this speculation, which in part is completely contradicted by the facts, will not and should not result in a dismissal of the charges against Mr. Weinstein involving my client.
The defense’s speculation is not a substitute for evidence. If they are engaging in speculation as to my client, I believe that they are lacking in facts which would exculpate their client Mr. Weinstein. Their defense of Mr. Weinstein as to my client, appears to be built on quicksand rather than on a strong factual foundation.
My client is very courageous and she will not be deterred by unjustified attacks.
10.29.18 – Allred criticized the police investigation in remarks outside the courtroom. “How could the police have searched and failed to find Savanna’s body and the baby earlier? These questions demand answers,” she said. It is long overdue for the Police Chief to apologize to Savanna’s family for the additional suffering that they endured for the days that Savanna and Haisley Jo were not located. In addition, there should be an extensive review of law enforcement protocols, so that what happened in the search for Savanna and Haisley Jo never happens again. Gloria urged Fargo Police Chief David Todd to reply to the families concerns. William Hoehn was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
10.23.18 – Today we have filed another lawsuit against gynecologist Dr. George Tyndall and U.S.C. on behalf of 14 more alleged victims of Dr. Tyndall and U.S.C. The total number of plaintiffs that we are now representing in lawsuits against U.S.C. and Dr. Tyndall is 50 alleged victims. We allege in our lawsuit that U.S.C.’s conduct justifies an award of punitive damages against it. We believe that U.S.C’s failure to protect students is particularly egregious because we allege that it knew or should have known of Dr. Tyndall’s alleged misconduct since 1990 or 1991 when U.S.C. students who were patients of Dr. Tyndall and others who were U.S.C. employees complained that Dr. Tyndall’s examination or treatment of them was sexually inappropriate. Despite these complaints U.S.C. failed to protect student from Dr. Tyndall, and instead concealed the fact that they had received complaints about him. Last week a federal class action lawsuit filed by another firm was tentatively settled with U.S.C. Our clients are not required to participate in that class action settlement and they will not participate in it, because we believe that the settlement is grossly inadequate compensation for the emotional distress suffered by many students who were subjected to Dr. Tyndall’s inappropriate conduct and mistreatment.
10.15.18 – We are asking for an acknowledgement of what my clients allege was said and for the CEO to take responsibility and apologize to them. We also ask that the pageant develop a plan of action, which would include sensitivity training focused on the issue of racial bias and racial stereotypes, so that what they allege they were subjected to never happens again. My clients have no plans to file a claim or a lawsuit or to seek damages. They simply want the Mrs. America pageant to be a place where everyone is respected, is treated equally, and feels safe.
10.12.18 – This case has been going on for more than four years. Vivian has made numerous court appearances, and she bravely testified at the trial. All she sought was justice and in many ways that has been denied to her. Individuals who are transgender deserve justice, respect and dignity. We look forward to the day when they will finally be afforded those basic rights in a court of law.
9.23.18 – A number of questions will be raised and must be decided by the court in this case. Is he a sexually violent predator? Pennsylvania’s sex offender board has found that he is a Sexually Violent Predator. He was examined by Pennsylvania’s sex offender board and the conclusion of the Board was that he either has a mental defect or a personality disorder that makes him prone to criminal behavior. The next question is should Bill Cosby be sentenced to prison?
09.06.18 – Any violent attack is serious, but an attack which appears to be motivated by the sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation of the victim is of particular concern. We contend in our lawsuit that a substantial motivating reason for Redmond O’Neal’s conduct towards Ken was Mr. O’Neal’s perception of Ken’s sexual orientation. We demand justice for Ken Fox and accountability in both the civil and criminal justice system from Redmond O’Neal.
08.29.18 – Today we are very happy to announce that the medical license of Dr. George Tyndall, who for decades was a gynecologist at U.S.C., has been suspended and he is no longer permitted to practice medicine. Dr. Tyndall has been accused by many U.S.C. students of sexually inappropriate conduct towards them when they were his patients.at U.S.C. My law firm has filed lawsuits against him and U.S.C. and we represent 41 women who allege that they were victimized by him. We thank the California Attorney General’s office for reaching out to us and for their outstanding and very professional legal work which led to this result.
08.26.18 – The City of West Hollywood, its Women’s Advisory Board, and its Lesbian and Gay Advisory Board hosted the City’s annual celebration of Women’s Equality Day. The day was an opportunity to honor the optimism, tenacity, and unrelenting spirit of the people who worked to secure women’s right to vote, and to illustrate how much can be achieved in a democratic society by the collective efforts of citizens committed to political reform. This event marks the anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote. Gloria Allred was the featured keynote speaker at the event where there was also a screening of Seeing Allred, the documentary about her life and work as a noted civil rights attorney and women’s equality advocate.
08.07.18 – The vote of the faculty indicated a lack of confidence in President Nikias and I believe that it was clear that new leadership was needed at U.S.C. Countless women allege that they were harmed by U.S.C. gynecologist, Dr. George Tyndall. It appears that U.S.C. had notice for decades that Dr. Tyndall had engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct with female U.S.C. students. I now represent 36 women in lawsuits who allege that they were victims of this doctor and U.S.C. The resignation of President Nikias is a step in the right direction for U.S.C., but given his failure to protect U.S.C. women from Dr. Tyndall, the University’s decision to induct him as President Emeritus and Life Trustee of the University is a slap in the face to the hundreds of female students who have alleged abuse at the hands of Dr. Tyndall. Further until there is justice for all of the victims, U.S.C. will not be able to move forward.
08.06.18 – “Today we are here to announce that we are filing yet another lawsuit against the University of Southern California (U.S.C.) and Dr. George Tyndall on behalf of a dozen current or former U.S.C. women who allege that they were victimized by their U.S.C. gynecologist, Dr. Tyndall. With the filing of this lawsuit this morning we are now representing a total of 36 alleged victims in these lawsuits and we expect to be filing even more lawsuits in the near future on behalf of other U.S.C. students with similar allegations.”
06.22.18 – Angelina Rosa discussed her painful duct taping experience and what it was like to cheer while her skin was duct taped. At the press conference Ms. Allred also provided copies of the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s response to Ms. Allred’s recent letter to him in which she urged Commissioner Goodell to stop NFL teams from exploiting NFL cheerleaders by paying them only minimum wage and to stop the sexual harassment and abuse of these women in the NFL workplace. Ms. Allred also responded to Mr. Goodell’s letter to her and she will deliver her response to his office at that location. Ms. Rosa is being added to the lawsuit that Ms. Allred has already filed on behalf of 5 other Houston Texans Cheerleaders..
06.21.18 – Thirty years ago, Gloria Allred, the first woman to be admitted as a member of the previously all male California Friars club, filed a sex-discrimination complaint against the Friars Club in New York after they refused her the right to have lunch there while allowing male California Friars the right to dine at the New York Club. Tonight she became only the 7th woman to be Roasted by the club. Friends and frenemies from the showbiz world roasted the internationally famous women’s rights power lawyer, and then, as usual, Gloria had the last word. For the first time ever, the Friars had an all-female celebrity dais of roasters. The Friars also raised $15,000 for one of Gloria’s non-profits – the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund.
06.12.18 – On May 22, 2018 my law firm filed a lawsuit on behalf of Daniella Mohazab against Dr. George Tyndall and the University of Southern California. Today we have amended our lawsuit to reflect that we are now suing on behalf of 24 women who allege that they were also victims of Dr. Tyndall and USC. In our lawsuit we allege sexual battery, battery, gender violence, sexual harassment, violation of California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, violation of the California Bane Act, sexual harassment in violation of the education code, negligence hiring and retention, negligent supervision, fraudulent misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. We are seeking compensatory and punitive damages according to proof at trial.
06.10.18 – Thousands of spectators clad in rainbow flags, face paint, hats, wings and tutus flooded the streets of West Hollywood on Sunday for the 48th annual Los Angeles Pride Parade. The parade was packed with politicians and political satire. Lawyer Gloria Allred who always rides in the parade gave a creative salute to the #MeToo movement.
06.04.18 – Last week, Ms. Allred and these cheerleaders filed a lawsuit against the Houston Texans alleging that they were only paid minimum wage of $7.25 an hour and that they were not paid even that amount for many of the hours that they worked. They also alleged that they were bullied and placed in fear about asserting their rights because they were forced to work in a hostile workplace.
06.01.18 – The Houston Texans have continued to engage in severe and continuous sex discrimination and they have not been yet held accountable in a Court of Law. We have filed this lawsuit today to seek compensation and fairness for these brave women because of what they have suffered. However, their main goal is to seek change for the women that will come after them so that the Houston Texans will treat all its employees fairly and with respect.
05.25.18 – The vote of the faculty indicated a lack of confidence in President Nikias and I believe that that it was clear that new leadership was needed at U.S.C. Countless women allege that they were harmed by U.S.C. gynecologist, Dr. George Tyndall. It appears that U.S.C. had notice for decades that Dr. Tyndall had engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct with female U.S.C. students. I now represent numerous women who allege that they were victims of this doctor. The resignation of President Nikias is a step in the right direction for U.S.C., but until there is justice for all of the victims, U.S.C. will not be able to move forward.
05.22.18 – We are also calling on U.S.C. to conduct an independent investigation of the very serious allegations made by these students who allege that for many years U.S.C. knew of inappropriate conduct by Dr. Tyndall, but failed to take appropriate measures to protect innocent students who were under his care. This series of events also raises the important questions of what did U.S.C. know and when did they know it. Young Women had every right to expect that they could trust U.S.C. and the gynecologist assigned to examine them and treat them. We will vigorously litigate this lawsuit and may be filing others as well. We will not stop until the truth is known and we win justice for the U.S.C. women whose rights were violated.
05.09.18 – We have filed this case today against singer Chris Brown, his friend, Lowell Grissom Jr., and others alleging sexual battery, gender violence, a violation of Ralphs Civil Rights Act, battery, assault, interference with the exercise of civil rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. Jane Doe filed this lawsuit because she wants justice for herself, but she also wants to warn other young women about the potential danger to themselves if they have their phone taken away upon entering Chris Brown’s house.
05.08.18 – “These allegations are gender violence, in the context of an intimate relationship,” Allred said. “That makes it very difficult for women to come forward … but women are not going to be silenced anymore. They’re not going to suffer in silence.” Allred said she hopes to get the misdemeanor charge against Sparks elevated to a felony after his ex filed a supplemental police report documenting a permanent eye injury that she claims happened when Sparks hit her during sex.
04.23.18 – Drake said she is speaking up now to back up her friend Daniels, who filed a lawsuit against Trump in March, seeking to invalidate a nondisclosure agreement she signed shortly before the 2016 election. Drake said she is not trying to sell her story and does not intend to sue the president, but her attorney, Gloria Allred, has warned the commander-in-chief to mind what he says — and tweets — about her client. “If he gets enraged and upset and says something about Jessica that is, in fact, defamatory, then we’re gonna need to review our legal options,” Allred said.
04.05.18 – Today I have come to Provo, UT to attend the sentencing of Robert Tanner Lant. The prosecutor had charged Mr. Lant with aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first degree felony. (Ann. Section 76-5-404.1) Despite the serious additional allegations the defendant has been permitted to enter a plea of guilty to attempted sexual abuse of a child (a third degree felony) and the prosecutor has agreed that the he will not ask that the defendant Robert Tanner Lant receive a prison sentence. It is time that the system begins to protect children rather than continuing to fail them, so that brave victims know that anyone convicted of a felony against a child will receive appropriate punishment rather than a “get out of jail free card” for their criminal misconduct against a child.
04.02.18 – The women had undergone painful fertility treatments after they were diagnosed with cancer and delayed their chemotherapy in hopes of having a child. Now that their eggs have been compromised or destroyed, it is unlikely that they will ever be able to have a biological child. These three women had a right to expect that if they underwent fertility treatments and entrusted their eggs to be preserved, that those to whom their eggs were entrusted would fulfill their legal and moral duty to protect them. The lawsuits filed today allege negligence, gross negligence, recklessness, breach of contract, breach of implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, and violation of the Magnuson-Moss warranty act. Of course no amount of money will ever be able to compensate them for the loss of their eggs or the chance to have biological children. We believe, however, that the cost of the wrong that these cancer survivors have been forced to suffer should be borne by the wrongdoers and not by the victims.
03.20.18 – Rocxanne was a nneighbor of the shooter, Nikolas Cruz, who took Nicholas and his brother in to live with her after their mother died. She explained why the boys moved in with her and why three 911 calls were made from her home after they came to live with her. Rocxanne went on to describe in detail her many efforts to prevent Nikolas from having a gun and her numerous warnings to law enforcement about Nikolas. She also discussed the concerns that she expressed to law enforcement that Nikolas should not be permitted to have a gun.
At the event, the fifth Lenore Kramer Award for Excellence was presented to Gloria Allred, Esq. for her commitment to empowering women in the legal community, the workplace and society. The award is named after former NYSTLA President Lenore Kramer. The reception was attended by over 300 New York trial lawyers and judges.
02.15.18 – “I am thrilled to have been selected to receive the Lenore Kramer award from the Women’s Caucus of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. I am particularly honored to have been presented the award by Judge Betty Ellerin who is a hero and icon for women in the legal community,” said Gloria Allred. “I am also honored that so many distinguished judges and prominent members of the bar supported the Women’s Caucus by attending the award ceremony last night. I look forward to continuing my battle for justice for those who need and deserve equal protection under the law.”
02.02.18 – “You would never wish this suffering on anybody’s family” said attorney, Gloria Allred, who represented the Greywind family today at the sentencing of Brooke Crews a North Dakota woman who cut a child from her neighbor’s womb.
01.26.18 – On January 12, 2018, Ms. Allred’s client, Essie Grundy, went to a Walmart near her home in Perris, CA to purchase a beauty product used by African Americans. She was shocked to find that all hair and skin products used by African Americans were segregated and displayed behind locked glass that could only be opened by a Walmart employee, while beauty products for other races were easily available to customers and were not behind locked glass. Also, the African American mother was required to be accompanied to the cash register by a Walmart employee and not permitted to touch the beauty product until she purchased it. Customers who were not African American were not treated in this manner. We allege that Walmart has violated California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, (California Civil Code § 51 which prohibits businesses from discriminating against customers on account of their race.)
01.10.18 – The trauma that Kristen Hernandez has suffered as a result of a brutal rape has been made even worse by the failure of Hard Rock International to take responsibility for failing to deliver the safe international vacation experience it advertised to Kristin and her family. Instead, it has chosen to turn its back on Kristin and deny corporate responsibility for the fact that a waiter at the Hard Rock Maya Hotel stalked her, locked her in her hotel bathroom and brutally raped her. They discouraged her from reporting the attack to law enforcement and attempted to convince her to release the hotel from liability. This morning a complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau of Central Florida where Hard Rock International has its headquarters.
I start every day with the knowledge that helping people and fighting for justice is my duty, and that nothing worthwhile comes without sacrifice, self- discipline, and courage. Gloria Allred, Fight Back and Win

11.29.20 Dispatch Argus - "Key question in Cosby appeal: Does defendant's past matter?" The defense attorneys for Bill Cosby will present an appeal on his behalf to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on December 1st. The justices may look at clearing up the law on one of the murkiest questions plaguing criminal trials: When should a jury hear about someone's past? The Cosby appeal could decide whether courts allow the expansive use of "prior bad act" witnesses that many judges have adopted in recent years or rein it in to preserve the presumption of innocence. The Supreme Court will also consider whether the jury should have heard Cosby's damaging deposition testimony from Andrea Constand's lawsuit, when he acknowledged giving alcohol or quaaludes to some of his accusers before sexual encounters. The Supreme Court is not expected to rule for several months. Attorney Gloria Allred represented three of the five witnesses in Mr. Cosby's previous trial.

12.12.19 Spring Hill Insider - "Cosby Prosecutor Wanted to Call 13 Women Accusers. Judge Says He Can Call 1." A Montgomery County judge ruled Friday that he would allow only one additional accuser to testify at Mr. Cosby's sexual assault trial. The judge said in his one-page order that he carefully weighed the potential value of calling 12 other women who have alleged that Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted them against the threat that their unproven allegations might prejudice a jury. Attorney Gloria Allred represents the lone accuser whose testimony Judge O'Neill has cleared for trial. In a statement on Friday, Ms. Allred said that "even though [the others] will not be able to testify in this case, they have been very important in the effort to seek justice."
