Statement of Attorney Gloria Allred
04.08.2026 – Victims’ rights attorney, Gloria Allred, was present today with her clients at the Suffolk County courthouse in Long Island, New York, where serial murderer, Rex Heuermann (also known as the Gilgo Beach killer) entered a guilty plea in the deaths of eight victims in lieu of going to trial. Ms. Allred represents the family members of many of the victims of the defendant. After the court proceedings, the District Attorney held a press conference, and Ms. Allred and her clients made statements about what this guilty plea means for them, as the families endlessly persisted in seeking justice and accountability for their deceased loved ones over many years. Ms. Allred reminds us that the women that the defendant murdered were young women with hopes, dreams, and had families that deeply suffered for many years in their absence. Ms. Allred, and the families of the victims that she represents, thanked the law enforcement officers and other individuals who participated in the massive, years long investigation, which help to bring the defendant to justice.
